Karim Benzema was named the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner on Monday after an outstanding season for Real Madrid.

Benzema has revealed the conversation he had with Real Madrid transfer target Kylian Mbappe before the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

“Mbappé congratulated me before the ceremony… we didn’t talk about Real Madrid. What he does is his own story,” Benzema said in quotes reported by Marca.
