Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has described former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo as a beast and admits it was an honour to play with the Portugal international.

Benzema said as quoted by Marca: “It was an honour to play with him, he’s a beast. The day he left I had the ambition to be more. Since he left I’ve been motivated to do more on the pitch.”

Benzema also described himself as a mixture of both Zinedine Zidane and the Brazilian Ronaldo.

He added: “Am I a mixture of Ronaldo and Zidane? I try to have a little bit of both.”
