Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema wasn’t part of the Real Madrid squad that beat Sevilla 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Saturday.

Real Madrid released an statement explaining why the 34 year old striker was unavailable for the game against Sevilla.

The statement from Real Madrid said: “Following tests carried out today on Karim Benzema by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with muscular fatigue in the quadricep muscle of his left leg. His recovery will be monitored.”
