RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has revealed the secret to RB Leipzig’s 3-2 Champions League victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

Werner said: “Winning games in the Champions League is always a special feeling, whether it’s against Real Madrid, Shakhtar or Celtic. But, of course, Real Madrid is a great club. One always wants to beat such a big club.

“We played similar to how we did at the Bernabéu, but this time we materialised the chances that we missed in Madrid. With the quality we have, we made it very difficult for them after the 1-0.”
