Real Madrid’s unbeaten run came to an end on Tuesday night following a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Explaining the reason for the defeat to RB Leipzig, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois said: “We went out on the pitch asleep, without intensity or aggressiveness. We have failed many passes, controls and it has not been a good game.

“As a goalkeeper, I noticed we were not in the game, we lost many duels due to lack of intensity. There are other players on the bench, if you can’t do more.

“Leipzig’s players were faster in the counter attacks. If we were more precise we could get into the game but it didn’t happen. Our defense wasn’t good.”
