Vinicius Junior has opened the door for Real Madrid to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham after acquiring his Spanish citizenship last week.

With Vinicius Junior now a Spanish citizen, it frees up a spot for a non-EU player in the Real Madrid squad.

With UK no longer part of the EU, British players are considered non-EU players and Real Madrid can only have 3 non-EU players in the squad.

Bellingham’s current contract with Borussia Dortmund is valid until June 2025 but reports claim the England international is keen on joining Real Madrid next summer.
