Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has become a household name among the Los Blancos fans.
The Uruguayan has been in top form this season and deserves every credit he’s getting.
Interestingly, Valverde who dons the No.15 shirt for Real Madrid has given a special reason why.
“Why do I wear number 15? It’s because we’re bringing the 15th to the Bernabeu in June,” Valverde said after Real Madrid’s 5-1 win against Celtic.
Real Madrid have won 14 Champions League titles, and of course making it 15 would be special.
Valverde scored a goal and registered an assist against Celtic on Wednesday evening.
Speaking on his performance, he said: “I get tired, but my objective is to continue scoring goals and supporting the team.
“That’s the way I operate: run and give everything. There were a lot of people close to me who were quite right that I should take advantage of my shot and I’m doing that now and quite enjoying it.
“I like to strike it on the laces, it’s my best shot, but I also sometimes like to hit it with the inside of my foot when I feel confident and today I was lucky enough to catch the ball right.
“They always joke with me that one day I’ll break the ball,” Valverde added.
