We’ve not decided for Real Madrid yet – Father of football’s next biggest star says

The father of Brazilian star, Endrick, has insisted that a decision has not yet been made on the future of his son.

Endrick has caught the eye with his wonderful performances for Palmeiras in recent months, and could be on the move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs in the coming months.

The 16-year-old made history as the youngest player to ever play for the  Brazilian club’s first team when he lined up against Coritiba back in October. And a few weeks later, he also became their youngest ever goalscorer, after finding the net twice during their 3-1 win against Athletico Paranaense.

Real Madrid is said to be the favourite for his signature, and Liverpool as well as other top Premier League sides are among the clubs that have been linked with the teenager.

Endrick will be allowed to join any European side when he turns 18, and the Los Blancos seem to have the edge, given the club’s recent success in discovering young talent in South America.

Commenting on rumours saying that Real are closing on a deal for his son, Endrick’s father told Fabrizio Romano: “There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet.

“We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy.”

Meanwhile, Spanish news outlet, Marca have claimed that Madrid have already sent representatives to Sao Paulo, and negotiations have begun with Palmeiras for Endrick.

It is also reported that Endrick has a £53 million release clause in his contract, although he could be allowed to leave for less than that.
