Toni Kroos was the man of the match in Real Madrid’s victory over Cádiz at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday night.
Kroos provided the assist for the first goal, as the German assisted Eder Militao to put Madrid 1-0 ahead in the first-half.
In the second-half, Kroos scored a spectacular right-footed volley from outside the box to make it 2-0.
The German’s goal proved to be important, as Lucas Perez scored an 81st minute goal for the visitors, to make the final minutes of the game very nervy.
At the end of the game, Kroos revealed his joy at helping the team.
He said: “The way the ball came I couldn’t shoot with the inside of my boot. I was able to help the team with the goal and I’m happy.
“We put in a good performance, barring the last 10 minutes. We had chances but at the end we suffered a little with an unneeded goal. I think it was a good game and a deserved victory.”
