According to confirmed reports, Karim Benzema left France training after just 15 minutes.

Benzema has been suffering with a muscular injury of late, and had made just one substitute appearance for Real Madrid in nearly a month – a 26 minute cameo against Celtic earlier this month.

The Ballon d’Or winner appears to still be working his way back to full fitness, with RMC Sport reporting that Benzema left the training session alongside a physio after just 15 minutes.

According to the report, Benzema had not even touched a ball by the time he departed to do solo work.

This actually goes on to clarify that Carlo Ancelotti and Benzema were right about Benzema not being fit all the while.

Ancelotti had said recently: “It’s silly to assume that. He is the one frustrated the most with the situation, as he is entering the World Cup without the minutes he would have needed to be in better condition.”
