Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez is in the final year of his contract with the club, and the future of the 32-year-old remains uncertain.

According to Sport, Nacho has refused to enter contract extension talks with the club.

Real Madrid want to extend his contract until 2024 so as not to lose him as a free agent next year. However Nacho isn’t so keen on a new contract, yet.

Rather, the Spaniard is considering leaving his childhood club, as he has suffered a lack of playing minutes this season.

Antonio Rudiger’s arrival during the summer, has relegated Nacho down the pecking order, which has seen his playing time reduced drastically.

Meanwhile, six other Real Madrid players are approaching the end of their contracts with Real Madrid.

The other six players are Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Marco Asensio, Diaz Mariano and Daniel Ceballos
