Only Marco Asensio and Dani Carvajal made the Spanish World Cup squad from the Real Madrid team.

Madrid star Rodrygo, who will be part of the Brazil contingent for the World Cup, has admitted that the Spaniard deserved a call-up.

“I think Nacho deserved to be selected for Spain, he’s been very good. It’s not my country so I won’t say much but it’s strange,” Rodrygo told Marca.

Meanwhile, Nacho is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, and has so far refused to sign a new deal with the club.

Reports claim Nacho is unhappy with his reduced game time this season.
