Karim Benzema has suffered a massive injury blow, ahead of the World Cup which kicks off on Sunday.
Benzema suffered an injury in his left thigh during training on Saturday evening in Doha, and there are now fears that he may miss the rest of the competition.
The 34-year-old felt a strong pain in his quads during a sprint toward the end of the training session.
Benzema will undergo a scan to find out the extent of the injury. He has already been ruled out of France opening game of the tournament against Australia on Tuesday.
Benzema came to the France squad with injury problems from Madrid, and there are major fears that he could miss the entire competition after a negative initial diagnosis from the medical staff.
