Another Real Madrid star misses training with France due to injury concerns

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was absent from France training session on Sunday, just two days ahead of the Les Bleus World Cup opener against Australia.

According to L’Équipe, Camavinga is struggling with a light injury, and has felt a discomfort in his abductor and was therefore absent from France most recent training session.

Camavinga may not be fit enough to face Australia on Tuesday, as the Real Madrid man is not in line for a starting spot for France World Cup opener.

Meanwhile, Camavinga who appeared in a press conference on Sunday afternoon, revealed that teammate Karim Benzema was annoyed after suffering an injury that has ruled him out of the World Cup.

“I didn’t see him leave training. It was during the match. Then he went to go off for tests, but it was late and we all went to bed. We heard the news the next morning. It hurts but our objective doesn’t change. We have a match coming very soon, and if we get hung up on it, it could be difficult,” said Camavinga in a press conference transcribed by L’Équipe.

He went on, “We knew late in the evening that he was unavailable, but he couldn’t tell us because he left early this morning. I have messaged him since.

“He was annoyed to miss out on the competition. It’s a blow but we have lots of good players and we’ll fight for all of those who haven’t had the chance to come.”
