Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid.
Asensio is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, and earlier reports had claimed that the Spaniard may not sign a new deal.
However, reports claim Asensio is now close to agreeing a new deal with the club.
Asensio has now claimed that his future will be sorted out after the World Cup.
Marco Asensio told AS Diario: “There is a talk that I am making Real Madrid change their minds.
“But I have always tried to give my best. The ones that make the decision [regarding my future] are the club, not just me. After the World Cup, we will make a decision together.
“Hopefully, it [the contract extension] can happen and I will be very happy to stay at Real Madrid for many years. I would spend 10 more years here,” the 26-year-old added.
When asked about the Barca rumours, Asensio said: “They were interpreted in many ways. I only said I felt comfortable enough at Real Madrid.”
