Real Madrid Aurelien Tchouameni got off to a flying start for France in their opening World Cup clash against Australia.
The Les Bleus won the game 4-1, as they came from behind to snatch all three points.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni started in midfield for France and lasted 77 minutes before being subbed off after a job well done.
Meanwhile, speaking before their game against Australia, Tchouameni admitted that all eyed will be on him, with N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba missing out from the World Cup.
Aurelien Tchouameni spoke to Téléfoot in the build up to France’s World Cup opener against Australia on Tuesday, and admitted that the pressure will be on him to perform with the absence of France superstar midfield duo.
When asked about these two vital absences, Tchouaméni told TF1 journalist Saber Desfarges that he recognises that “with Paul and N’Golo not being there, eyes will be on me” to perform at the required level in midfield for Les Bleus.
In all, the 22-year-ol Aurelien Tchouameni gave a good account of himself.
