Eden Hazard captained Belgium to a 1-0 victory over Canada in their opening World Cup game.
The Canadians indeed had a good game but Belgium managed to squeeze one into the Canadian net, courtesy of Michy Basthuayi.
Hazard lasted slightly over the hour mark before being subbed off.
Former Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas who played with Hazard at Chelsea, was pleased with the performance of the Belgian captain.
Fabregas wrote on twitter: “So nice to see Eden play (and play well) at the big stage again.”
