Barcelona boss reveals Barca are talking to highly rated Real Madrid target

Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has been linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool, with Madrid seen as favourites for his signature.

However, it seems Barcelona have now entered the race for his signature.

Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has revealed that Barca have been having talks with the Brazilian teenager.

“We’ve been talking with Endrick’s father and also with the player. I explained them the project. We want him, he’s a top talent,” Xavi has told ESPN.

“Endrick is the kind of player we need. I hope he joins Barca. It’s up to him to decide,” the Barca boss added.

The starlet scored an incredible 165 goals in 169 appearances at youth level, which has endeared him to some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Meanwhile, the father of the wonderkid has revealed a planned trip to Madrid.

Douglas Ramos, father of the talented youngster, told UOL Esporte: “We will travel to Madrid at the end of this month. The idea is none other than to get a first-hand look at the facilities of Los Blancos, at the invitation of the club itself.

“It will not, of course, be a purely tourist trip.”

He also revealed there will be talk about Endrick’s future.

“After that conversation, Real Madrid will wait for our response to assess whether they should come and make an offer to Palmeiras,” he added.
