Benfica have reportedly refused to sell Enzo Fernandez during the winter transfer window.

The Benfica midfielder has been linked with a move away from Benfica, with top clubs around Europe interested in a deal.

Talks have intensified in recent days, after he made an appearance in Argentina’s 2-0 World Cup win against Mexico, and scored a goal in the process.

According to reports, Real Madrid, Barcelona as well as a number of Premier League sides fancy Fernandez, but Benfica are not willing to do business in January, as they view the South American as a key part of their squad.

It is also being reported that the only condition on which Fernandez will be sold is if any interested parties are willing to meet his release clause, which has been pegged at €120 million.
