Deschamps reveal another surprise position Camavinga can play

With France having sealed qualification, France boss Didier Deschamps is set to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up against Tunisia.

France could make six or seven changes to their starting XI for their final group match clash against Tunisia, as Deschamps seeks to refresh his squad and give playing time to other members of the team.

For Eduardo Camavinga, Deschamps have been trying him out in a new position.

According to reports, Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga could start against Tunisia. However, Camavinga could be deployed at left-back in order to rest Théo Hernandez.

Deschamps have been testing Camavinga in that position in behind closed door friendlies, following the injury to Theo Hernandez.

L’Équipe report that Deschamps is preparing Camavinga at left-back to provide a back-up plan in case yet another injury occurs to Théo Hernandez.

Speaking about Camavinga, Deschamps have even revealed that the Frenchman can play as a centre-back as well.

“Camavinga can play as a left-back. He even played as a centre-back if we review his history of appearances,” Didier Deschamps has told the media, via RMC Sport.
