Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been battling with injury for about two months now.

The Frenchman was ruled out of the World Cup due to injury, and according to a report by L’Equipe, Benzema would return to Real Madrid’s training session in December.

The Ballon d’Or holder is currently spending his holidays at the Indian Ocean of Reunion, where he’s expected to take a break before returning to France.

Benzema will not return to play for France in Qatar, despite reports claiming that he’s nearing recovery.

The Frenchman is expected to report back to Los Blancos’ training on December 9.

Benzema will work on regaining full match fitness next month, in order to be fit enough to feature for his side in their first game after the World Cup break, which will be against Real Valladolid on December 30.
