Luka Modric is 37 years old, and the Croatia international is still playing football at the highest level.
Still a top player for club and country, Modric is still among the best midfielders in the game.
The Croatian skipper has helped Croatia through to the second round of the World Cup, and it’s expected that this would be his last international tournament with Croatia.
Modric has however revealed that he isn’t quitting the international scene soon.
When asked whether he is planning on quitting international football any time soon, Luka Modric replied: “No, I won’t leave the national team. I feel very fit, very good and I’ll stay here until I can.
“There’s no reason to retire. It’s my choice. People say I should leave and focus on club football. I don’t agree.”
