Barcelona were linked with a move for Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta during the summer transfer window.

A deal was nearly signed before the Spaniard did a U-turn and signed an extension with Chelsea.

According to reports, Real Madrid have now made contact with Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Sport claims Real Madrid have made a move to sign Azpilicueta in January.

With Alvaro Odriozola wanted by AS Roma, Real fancy selling the fullback and replacing him with Azpilicueta.

Azpilicueta has a contract with Chelsea to 2024, but reports claim he could be available in January for €6m.
