Julen Lopetegui was appointed as the new manager of Wolves just before the start of the World Cup.

The former Real Madrid and Spain head coach will seek to rebuild the Wolves team in January, as they are currently struggling in the relegation zone.

According to reports, Julen Lopetegui may use his relationship with Real Madrid and centre-back Nacho Fernandez to convince him to make the move to Molineux in January.

Nacho is currently out of favour at the Santiago Bernabéu, and having worked under Lopetegui at Madrid and Spain, may be willing to join Lopetegui in the Premier League.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Lopetegui is supposedly a big fan of Real Madrid pair Mariano Díaz and Nacho Fernandez, having worked with the pair during his time at the Bernabéu.

With Nacho in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, signing the 32-year-old, would mean Real Madrid may not have to lose him for free.
