Karim Benzema missed the World Cup due to injury, and the Madrid star has battled injury problems since the start of the season.

With club football set to resume later this month, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Benzema is expected back in training on Saturday.

“[Benzema] is coming back on Saturday [December 10th] and we’re going to start preparing him,” Ancelotti told Corriere dello Sport.

Benzema is currently enjoying his holiday on the island of La Reunion in France while he recovers from the injury that ruled him out of the World Cup.

Other Real Madrid players have already resumed training, and having Benzema on ground will provide a big boost.
