Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that current generation of top class strikers are already nearing the end of their game.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Edinson Cavani, Luis Suarez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were named alongside Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi as getting set to hand over to a new generation.

Ancelotti would go on to mention Richarlison, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Julian Alvarez and Darwin Nunez as the new generation.

Carlo Ancelotti also admitted that he didn’t know about Portuguese star Goncalo Ramos before his hat-trick performance against Switzerland.

“Richarlison is a modern striker, not very sharp on his feet, but he has fantastic times and is very coordinated. He is among the best,” Carlo Ancelotti said when asked about the Brazilian striker he worked with during his days as Everton manager.

Ancelotti then went on: “We are in a transition phase: we are running out of Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo, Suarez, Cavani.

“Messi and Benzema are 35, and Lewandowski will be next year. The new ones are Mbappe, Richarlison, Haaland, Alvarez and Nunez. I didn’t know Goncalo Ramos,” Ancelotti adds.

Reports now claim that Real Madrid are keeping an eye on Goncalo Ramos who plays for Benfica.
