Ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has predicted that Jude Bellingham will choose Manchester City over other clubs that are after his services, and that he’ll then, wait another five years before signing for Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

The Three Lions midfielder has been one of the World Cup’s brightest players, sparking numerous rumours about where he will play post-Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old has drawn interest from all over, but it appears Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City are the front-runners to capture the youthful wonder.

Bellingham passed up an opportunity to join Man United back in 2020, choosing Dortmund instead, and has grown from strength to strength ever since.

And the former Red Devil is near-certain that the midfielder will end up choosing Man City above every other team that is interested in signing him, before joining Real Madrid.

“I think he will [join Manchester City], yeah,” Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel.

“He’ll say, ‘listen, I’ve got a couple of mates there, English boys. I can go to Madrid in five years’.”

He added: “There’s no rush. I just think he thinks: ‘You know what, I’m the superstar. I’m going to win the league and the Premier League, because I’m an English-born boy’.

“And then I’ll go to Madrid and I’ll do the same there in a few years.

“The great things is, he’s got the absolute choice and the pick of what he wants to do. There will be clubs queuing up, we know that.”
