Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has sent a message of support to the French team at the World Cup in Qatar.

Following France’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over England in the quarter-final, the Les Bleus have secured their spot in the World Cup semi-finals and are close to winning the World Cup for a second time in a row.

Benzema was part of the squad in Qatar, but injury cut short his campaign, and he has returned to the club to prepare ahead of season resumption.

Benzema has now sent a message of support to his international teammates ahead of their clash against Morocco on Wednesday evening.

He wrote: “Come on guys, two more games, we’re nearly there… behind you. Vámonos.”

Benzema who missed the last World Cup while on exile from the France national team, will be sure of getting a medal if France do win the cup, as he’s still a registered member of the squad.
