Chelsea and Real Madrid were among the favourites to sign Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.

Chelsea had jumped the gun in their pursuit of Endrick, and even invited the teenager and his family to Cobham.

However, it was Real Madrid that ended signing the young attacker.

According to reports, Endrick wasn’t fully convinced by Chelsea’s approach.

Endrick and his family felt that Chelsea were hesitant at committing to his financial terms, as they offered a deal with performance-related bonuses, which didn’t seem to suit their demands.

Moreover, Chelsea’s recruitment and instability seemed to be an issue.

Endrick felt that Real Madrid’s offer was the best and chose Madrid over Chelsea and PSG.

The youngster will join the Los Blancos in 2024 – when he turns 18.
