Luka Modric was among the oldest players at the World Cup in Qatar.
The 37-year-old veteran midfielder captained Croatia to the World Cup, and was an inspirational figure all through as the Croats came third after beating Morocco 2-1 in the third place final.
A number of veterans announced their retirement from the national team, including Barcelona skipper Sergio Busquets.
However, Modric has decided to take it game by game and revealed that he won’t be announcing his retirement yet.
He said, per ESPN: “I don’t know if I will be [playing] until the Euros in Germany. We will see.
“I need to go step by step. I am enjoying the national team. I feel happy. I still think I can perform on a high level and I want to continue until at least until the Nations League.
“Then after, there will be more time to think about the Euros. Now it is go step by step and continue at least until Nations League and then we will see.”
