Real Madrid had agreed terms to sign Kylian Mbappe last summer, only for the deal to break through, with France president Emmanuel Macron putting a call through to encourage Mbappe to remain at the capital.

After Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Mbappe is seen as the next best thing to take over from Messi and Ronaldo.

Real Madrid legend Guti, has advised Mbappe to rather move to Real Madrid and achieve his potential as a football great.

“Real Madrid have to go for Kylian Mbappe,” Real Madrid legend Guti said on El Chiringuito TV show.

“The best players have to play in Real Madrid.”
