Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor has hailed Real Madrid target Jude Bellingham as a top player.

Bellingham is a man in demand, and his value has further increased after a remarkable spell in the World Cup.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are said to be the favourites for his signature, with Manchester City and Chelsea also interested in the 19-year-old.

Neil Mellor has now advised Bellingham where he should go next, and he has urged him to rather move to Liverpool.

“What an unbelievable player,” he told talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday. “I think we’ve all seen that with England but also Dortmund.

“I think what you’d say about Bellingham is he can take his pick, he can go to any football club he wants to, what a privileged position he’s in. I think every club would love to have him.

“And from a Liverpool point of view – what a player – I’d love to see him playing for Liverpool.”
