Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has admitted he’s yet to get over the World Cup final defeat to Argentina.

In a thrilling 3-3 draw which had to be settled in penalty shootout, Argentina defeated France, with Aurelien Tchouameni missing from the spot.

The Real Madrid star has released a message revealing the pain he feels from the defeat.

“It will take time to digest this bitterness and frustration,” said Tchouameni.

“We have tried everything. I took responsibility, it didn’t work and I’m the first to regret it.”

“I am convinced that the future of the French team is bright, especially if we can count on you.”
