Benfica have insisted they are in complete control of Enzo Fernandez’s future.

Reports claimed that the Argentina midfielder agreed personal terms with Liverpool, with Real Madrid also believed to be interested in him.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are the two clubs who have shown the biggest interest in Enzo Fernandez, as both clubs seek to strengthen their midfield.

However, the reports that Liverpool have reached an agreement are not correct, according to Pedro Sepulveda of Portuguese publication SIC.

Despite the fact that both Liverpool and Real Madrid have expressed serious interest in Fernandez, neither club has begun negotiations at the moment.

Since Fernandez only recently joined Benfica, the Lisbon-based giants are prepared to seek his full £105 million release clause if anyone approaches them in January.
