France lost to Argentina in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
After a 3-3 draw following a pulsating 120 minutes of action, the game had to be settled on penalties.
Argentina won the resulting shootout, and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has admitted to playing dirty in the final.
Martinez showed his horrible side as the Argentines celebrated their victory in the dressing room. Martinez could be heard shouting: “A minute of silence for… Mbappe!”
Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni missed his kick, and Martinez controversially threw the ball away before Tchouameni took the spot-kick, to pile the pressure on the young Frenchman.
Martinez has now ridiculed Tchouameni as he said: “When I saved the first penalty in the final, I knew that the other boy was going to be very nervous. I tried to play him mentally by throwing the ball away, talking to him. And he missed. He shat himself.”
