Enzo Fernandez has now finally responded to rumours about his future.

In order to celebrate his nation’s World Cup victory, Fernandez has been back in Argentina with his teammates. The athlete reportedly spoke to a group of supporters in the town of San Martin in his home country.

Fernandez reportedly downplayed the rumours about his future, as chose to focus on his career at Benfica for now.

“I don’t know anything about that,” said Fernandez, via Ge Globo.com. “It’s up to my agent, I don’t want to get involved.

“I’m focused on Benfica, in a few days we have an important game. I have a flight at night to play in the game on Friday.”

Fernandez’s release clause at Benfica is said to stand at a staggering £106 million.
