Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has been hailed as the best manager in the world by Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso.

Gattuso played under Ancelotti back then at AC Milan, and the 44-year-old is now manager of La Liga side Valencia.

Gattuso has hailed Ancelotti as the best manager in the world, following his longevity in the game.

On his relationship with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, Gattuso told AS: “When I started to be a coach I called Ancelotti and said ‘How do you do it?’.

“For me he is the best coach in the world, he comes from 3-4 generations ago and always has the key to getting into the players’ heads. It’s amazing how he has always done it with four different generations.”
