Eden Hazard had a horrible World Cup in Qatar, as he captained Belgium who eventually crashed out in the group stage of the competition.
The Belgian had vowed to be at his best during the World Cup, but it didn’t go down well.
Eden Hazard has struggled since his £100m move to the Bernabéu, but reports now have it that the former Chelsea star returned from the World Cup with a fresh fire, and is now ready to prove his doubters wrong.
According to reports, Hazard has impressed Real Madrid coaching staff since returning to training at Valdebebas following his participation at the World Cup for Belgium.
Carlo Ancelotti has now confirmed that those reports are true, and he’s ready to give the Belgian more playing minutes in the second half of the season.
Ancelotti said: “He has been training well and I think he is doing better than before the World Cup.
“With the big numbers of games we have ahead, he will be one of the players I will use.”
In the first half of the season, Ancelotti barely used Hazard, as the Belgian played just 229 minutes across 6 matches and contributed one goal and one assist.
Let’s see how the soon to be 32-year-old will perform in 2023.
