‘It’s not true’ – La Liga president sends message to Vinicius

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr was the object of abuse from Real Valladolid fans after their 2-0 win away at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla.

Vinicius had previously hit out at the racist abuse he suffered earlier this season from Atletico Madrid fans.

The Brazilian was again the target of racism by Real Valladolid fans as he was leaving the pitch following Madrid’s 2-0 win over Real Valladolid.

The Brazilian took to social media after the game, and admitted that the La Liga have done little to alter that.

“Racists keep going to stadiums to watch the biggest club in the world [Real Madrid] up close and La Liga keep doing nothing,” Vinicius Junior wrote on Instagram.

“I will continue to hold my head high & celebrate my & Madrid’s victories. In the end it is MY fault.”

La Liga president Javier Tebas has reacted to Vinicius claims, and admits that it’s untrue.

“At La Liga, we have been fighting RACISM for years. It is very unfortunate, unfair and not true to say that,” La Liga president Javier Tebas responded in a tweet.

“La Liga does nothing against racism? Find out more. We are at your disposal so that ALTOGETHER, we can go in the same direction.”
