Real Madrid defeated Cacereno 1-0 to go through to the last-16 of the Copa del Rey.

However, Cacereno president Carlos Ordonez has said that their Copa del Rey tie with Real Madrid will cover their expenses for the next 18 months.

Cacereno organised to double the capacity of their Prince Felipe stadium to 14,000 before the game against Madrid, and the club president has revealed what it meant to them.

He told AS: “Guelo (Juan Miguel Olmedo) is in charge. We have managed to reach approximately 14,000. The initial idea was to reach 20,000.

“The problem is that in just a few days and on these dates it is very difficult to contact people and get them to commit to setting up the extra tier up to that number that we would have liked. We will try to put in the maximum possible, but unfortunately we will not be able to reach 20,000.

“The economic impact… For us, approximately a season or a season and a half will cover us, which will cover the entire movement of the game. Apart from the income that is obtained, we are not a team with a budget either. We have a mid-table budget in the group a little more. It is not that we are going to put the tickets at 1,000 euros, but, being a modest budget, we cover a season or a season and a half.”
