Cristiano Ronaldo can still feature in the Champions League after signing for Al Nassr. This is how

Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo has sealed a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.

Ronaldo who turns 38, signed for the Saudi Arabian side on a two-year deal with huge wages that puts him far ahead of every other footballer on the planet.

Ronaldo had wanted to feature in the Champions League after leaving Manchester United, but it didn’t work out.

According to Fichajes, Ronaldo hasn’t given up hopes of playing in the Champions League, and has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for Newcastle United next season.

That can only happen if Newcastle qualify for the Champions League.

The Magpies are having a formidable season and are currently third in the Premier League. If they manage to secure a place in the Champions League next season, there will be an option for Ronaldo to join Newcastle on a loan deal as they are owned by the Saudi backed public investment fund.

Would you like to see Ronald back in the Champions League?
