Barcelona booked their spot in the final of the Supercopa de Espana after beating Real Betis on Thursday night.
Real Madrid also had an equally difficult game against Valencia in the other semi-final clash on Wednesday.
Both sides will now face each other in the final on Sunday, January 15.
Barcelona boss Xavi, has said he’s glad to meet the best side in the final and is looking forward to the tie against Real Madrid.
“I’m excited for the final. I want to compete against the best, win against the best. Real Madrid is one of the best, and the final will be great,” said the Barcelona head coach.
Barcelona are the most successful side in the history of the Spanish Super Cup, having lifted the trophy on 13 occasions, one more than Real Madrid.
