FIFA has released their 14-man shortlist for The Best Men’s Player award.

Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Luka Modric all made the nominee for the best player award.

The other nominees are Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, Sadio Mane, Jude Bellingham, Achraf Hakimi and Julian Alvarez.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was named among the nominees for The Best Goalkeeper prize.

The awards will judge players performance from August 2021 to December 2022.

The award ceremony is expected to take place on February 27.
