It was a disappointing night for Real Madrid in Riyadh, as Barcelona won the Supercopa de Espana.

Real Madrid were particularly poor in the first-half and ended the half losing 2-0.

The final score ended up 3-1 in favour of Barcelona, and Carlo Ancelotti was very disappointed with his side’s display.

According to Ancelotti, Barca were gifted the tie for his side’s first-half mistakes.

“We gifted them [Barca] the match. The first two goals we conceded were unforgivable,” Carlo Ancelotti told the media after the game.

“This match showed our weaknesses, clearly. We will be back though, no doubt. We will correct the mistakes. The only solution is to work hard. We will improve with time. We were not at our level.

“It’s a difficult period, that’s it. It was known before the game that the team were not at their best,” the Whites’ boss added.
