Real Madrid were beaten in the Super Cup final with Barcelona.

Barcelona won the tie in Riyadh, as they beat Real Madrid 3-1 to become Super Cup champions, and the performance from the Los Blancos was far from impressive.

Madrid’s first-half showing was woeful, as the Los Blancos couldn’t even get a shot on target in the first half.

According to Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, Madrid didn’t play at their best.

“We lacked attitude, on a day like this we had to go out to win but we played at our 80-90%,” Federico told the media after the game.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his players will bounce back following the Supercopa final defeat to Barcelona.

Speaking after the game, Carlo Ancelotti also admitted that his players were heartbroken after the defeat.

“Humiliation? No, they [Barcelona] just won a game as we did in La Liga [in October],” Carlo Ancelotti has said.

“The players are heartbroken. They are used to winning. I’m sure we will be back. Real Madrid will always be back.”
