Dani Ceballos is a man in form, and the 26-year-old has performed very well in his last two games against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao.

Ceballos started against Bilbao and lasted 85 minutes on the pitch.

The Spaniard, who’s near the end of his contract, has declared he wants to stay on at Real Madrid.

Ceballos said: “There’s no bigger club than Madrid. I’ve got four months left on my contract, but I’m going to give everything to show that I want to stay here.”

Speaking on the win at San Mames, he also said: “I had a great second half against Villarreal and I helped the team mount a great comeback.

“The coach asked me to start. I had a lot of energy and desire and I showed it on the pitch. I’m really happy with the win at such a tough ground

“We’re ready to play when the coach needs us. He threw me on against Villarreal when the team needed me. Now he’s given me the chance to play in the starting line-up against a great club like Athletic. I’m raring to play and when the coach asks me to, I’ll be available to give my best.”
