Real Madrid will play host to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarter-final clash at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday night.

Atletico Madrid may have to do without key man Marcos Llorente for this Madrid derby.

Llorente was subbed off in the substituted in the 56th minute through injury, as Atletico defeated Real Valladolid 3-0 last Saturday in the La Liga.

Tests carried out by the club’s medical staff confirmed the initial concerns as the Spaniard suffered an injury in the adductor muscles.

This means that Llorente will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks and he will definitely miss the Madrid derby on Thursday night.
