Borussia Dortmund have stepped up efforts to offer Jude Bellingham a new contract, reports say.

The England midfielder is drawing interest from across Europe, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all said to be keen on his signing.

German outlet BILD is however reporting that Dortmund are working towards offering the teenager a mammoth £13.25 million-a-year deal, in an effort to avoid losing him to a bigger club in the summer.

Talks are already said to be planned for later in March, and if the deal does happen, it would make Bellingham the highest-paid player in Dortmund’s history.

People that matter at BVB, such as CEO, Hans Joachim-Watzke, and sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, are also working to ensure they keep Bellingham with them for one more year, at least.

The 19-year-old’s current deal is up in 2025, but the extension could take it to 2026, if it works.
