Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the Copa del Rey quarter-final clash at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday night.
Real Madrid came from behind to win the tie at the Santiago Bernabéu 3-1, with Atletico Madrid man Stefan Savic sent off in extra time.
Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak was disappointed with the result, as he claimed his side played well.
Oblak also maintained that Real Madrid should have had a player sent off.
Oblak said: “We had a good first half, the second half not so good. They upped the tempo, they tied us and in the end, nothing.
“We were down to ten men and it was even more difficult. In general we had chances and we played a good game. Savić’s red card punished us, but that’s football. Unfortunately we lost.”
He added: “I think that if it was a red card for us, it should have been for them. At 1-0 they could also have received a second yellow. We are used to this. It’s complicated. The team fought until the end. We did everything, and in the end they scored the third. We fought against everyone.”
Up next for Real Madrid is a La Liga clash against Real Sociedad on Sunday at the Bernabéu.
