Eduardo Camavinga was played as a left-back in Real Madrid’s goalless draw against Real Sociedad.

The France international played in that role during the World Cup, and Carlo Ancelotti turned to him for the Sociedad game, with his natural left-backs unavailable for the match.

Camavinga had a good game nevertheless, and speaking after the game, he vowed to help the team whenever he’s called upon.

Camavinga said: “I already played there at the World Cup and I am here to help the team.

“Before, I played in the position for 30 minutes while at Rennes’s academy, but that’s it.”

Speaking on the game, Camavinga added: “We couldn’t score but we will not lose confidence.

“These are two points that we lost, but the season is long. We must look forward because there is another game in three days.”
